Deer Crossing the Art Farm is a community arts organization that focuses on the exploration of social and environmental issues through visual and performing art. They recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary and commissioned a retrospective booklet highlighting their biggest initiatives. The booklet also serves as a thank-you to supporting organizations and as a marketing tool for future projects and supporters.

The organization is big on hands-on, participatory initiatives, upcycling, and reimagining materials for use in their events; the hand of the artist is valued. I honoured this by creating a hand-lettered typeface specifically for this project, as well as various line drawings, patterns, and painted textures.

The final printed piece was printed by the fine folks at Mitchell Press on beautiful textured stock.
